Winter Care Kit – Salt and Preppers Style

A slip on the ice.  Cold fingers. Dry, cracked hands. Chapped lips…… You all know that these events happen every winter, so why not be better prepared for them with this cute little “on-the-go winter care kit!”

This oversized mitten was cut out and sewn in just a few minutes without even having a real pattern.  We took the general size and shape for our pattern from an oven mit . We cut out 2 fleece mittens, sewed around the edges, and trimmed it with some faux fur trim.  It couldn’t be easier.  Keep this winter care kit in your vehicle for yourself and your kiddos. You might be surprised how often it gets used!

For gift giving, you can include this poem:

“When little ones get an owie, and you are on the go –

This winter kit can help you, or others you may know!”

Contents:

  • Over sized mitten (to hold these items)
  • Bandages
  • Kleenex tissues
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Wet wipes
  • Lotion
  • Chapstick
  • Tweezers
  • Hand warmers
  • acetaminophen for adults and kids (don’t forget water or juice box to wash it down)
  • ibuprofen for adults and kids (don’t forget water or a juice box to wash it down)
